Men's soccer shows dominance over Imperial Valley

SAN MARCOS, CA (11/1/2019) – Men's soccer played Imperial Valley College on Friday and won 3-0 to move to 3-3-3 in conference play.

Arturo Soltero scored on an assist from Mario Lopez at the 22-minute mark to give the Comets a 1-0 advantage. Tyler Eldridge then scored on an assist from Lopez five minutes later. Jacob Stutzman received his fourth yellow card of the season at the 29-minute mark. Imperial Valley kept Palomar out of the net until the 62-minute mark when Chandler Dittloff scored on a corner kick assist from John Bernal. Seth Murphy then received yellow card at the 85-minute mark, his fourth of the season.

The Comets are now 7-6-5 overall and 3-3-3 in conference. The men moved back into fourth place behind Cuyamaca, MiraCosta and San Diego City. Palomar will be back on the pitch on Friday Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. when they face San Diego City on the road.
