Compton, Calif. – Sophomore Marceya Vernardo had a total of 11 points in Friday night's game but the Tartars (8-16, 0-6) fell short, 81-45, in the match up against Long Beach City (17-8, 7-0). Vernardo also posted up four rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

Sophomore Andranae Powns was the leading score for the Tartars putting 20 points on the board. Defensive leader, sophomore Niea Ulmer, posted up a total of 12 rebounds.

At halftime Sophomores Treshoir Cavanaugh, Andranae Powns, Norma Revolorio, Niea Ulmer, and Marceya Vernardo, were honored for their efforts and contributions to the Women's Basketball team. We wish them luck on their future endeavors.

The Tartars' next game will be on Wednesday February 19 at Cerritos (9-17) with a 5 p.m. tip off.
