SACRAMENTO (3-7) - Cosumnes River returned home to take on College of the Sequoias in Big 8 Conference-South Division play. The Hawks defeated the Giants 9-0.
The Hawks won all six singles matches. In the #1 singles match between Krista Le of Cosumnes River and Vanessa Bonnar of College of the Sequoias, Le defeated Bonnar 6-1, 6-3. In the #3 singles match between Angela Hurtado of the Hawks and Destiny Canchola of the Giants, Hurtado defeated Canchola 6-0, 6-0. In the #4 singles match between Hannah Dinkins of Cosumnes River and Denae Ray of College of the Sequoias, Dinkins defeated Ray going 6-4, 6-2. Two matches – the #5 and #6 singles matches – were won by the Hawks via forfeit. The tightest singles match was the the #2 singles match between Salma Prasad of the Hawks and Logan Mann of the Giants. Prasad defeated Mann 4-6, 6-0 (10-5).

In the #2 doubles match between Dinkins and Prasad of Cosumnes River and Canchola and Ray of College of the Sequoias, Dinkins and Prasad defeated Canchola and Ray 8-1. The #3 doubles match was won by the Hawks via forfeit. The tightest doubles match was the #1 doubles match between Hurtado and Le of the Hawks and Bonnar and Mann of the Giants. Hurtado and Le defeated Bonnar and Mann 8-6.
