The conclusion of the 2022 Glendale College Men's Soccer regular season showed how much grit the Vaqueros could play with, tying Western State Conference South leading Bakersfield 1-1 on a cold and rainy night at Sartoris Field Tuesday, Nov. 8 and beating College of the Canyons 3-2 Friday, Nov. 11.

The Vaqueros finished the season in third place at 3-3-2 in WSC play and 8-10-3 overall but played with purpose and determination in coming from behind in both games, tying the Bakersfield game at 1-1 on the only goal of the season by Malkoon Malkoon at the 64:35 mark of the game. Trailing 2-0 in the game against COC, John Crispi scored his ninth goal of the year at 31:14 to cut the lead in half at 2-1 and Luis Zepeda's fourth goal at 58:10 of the second half made it 2-2 and then Derik Stepanians scored the game winner at 77 minutes, his 12th goal of the year to make it 3-2 Glendale.

Sophomore goalie Mario Trujillo had 10 saves against Bakersfield and three against Canyons to give him 75 in conference and a state leading 175 for the season to go along with five shutouts.
