13 is unlucky for Vaqueros on Halloween

SBCC gave up 13 goals twice on Halloween and dropped a pair of games at the Fullerton Women's Water Polo Mini-Tournament. Fullerton downed the Vaqueros 13-5 and Mt. San Antonio recorded a 13-7 victory.

The Vaqueros (13-12) had their 7-game win streak snapped by unbeaten Fullerton (28-0). The Hornets led 7-1 after one quarter and 11-3 at halftime. Fesembeck had three goals, three steals and six drawn ejections. Alyssa Diener made three steals as did goalie Autumn Lovett.

In the Mt. SAC game, Fesembeck had four goals, two assists, two steals and five drawn ejections. Maddie Brooks added a goal and three steals while goalie Alex Brown had 10 saves and three steals.

SBCC is expected to be seeded No. 2 for the WSC Tournament on Nov. 6 and 8 at Citrus College in Glendora.
