Baseball Wraps 2022 Campaign in Game Two Loss in Supers

Folsom, Calif. - The 10th-seeded Butte baseball team's season came to an end on Saturday afternoon as it came up short against second-seeded Folsom Lake, 7-4.

Freshman Peter Andrews counted two of the team's three RBI both on being hit by pitch with the bases loaded. Freshman Austin York earned the team's lone extra-base hit with a double, while freshman Patrick Barry tallied the team's only multi-hit outing with a 2-for-4 performance. 

Freshman RJ Aranda (3-5) tossed 2.1 innings for the Roadrunners to start the contest, allowing four earned runs and scattering eight hits. Freshman Sergio Gutierrez completed the game, allowing only one earned run while scattering three hits and fanning five.

The Roadrunners end their 2022 campaign with a 28-16 overall record, finishing second in the Golden Valley Conference, and making the program's first-ever Super Regionals appearance.
