(Fullerton, CA) A three-run first inning set the tone for Mt. SAC (3-0), which rolled to a 9-1 win over host Fullerton College (0-2) on Tuesday, Jan. 28.

Ryan Williams (2-4, RBI, 3 R), Art Ruiz (2-2, 4 RBI, 2 R, 2B, 3B), and Cameron White (2-4, RBI) performed well at the plate for the Mounties. Tyus Santa Anna (1-3) and Cole Jordan (1-3, 2 RBI, R) each had doubles for the visitors. Ben Guess (1-3, 2 R) stole a base for Mt. SAC.

Starting pitcher Michael Ortega (1-0) pitched four innings for the Mounties, allowing one run on three hits to get the win. Cedric Girard pitched one inning of relief and tallied a team-high three strikeouts.

Next up for Mt. SAC—which has outscored its opponents 33-3 so far this season—is a home game against Cerro Coso College (1-1) on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 5 p.m.
