Defense the key as Falcons romp over Skyline

A stubborn defense and unselfish offensive attack were the key ingredients to a 68-43 Falcon victory over Skyline College on Saturday afternoon at Falcon Gymnasium.  The visiting Trojans entered the game with a 4-1 record with some quality early-season wins, but the Falcons blitzed them early as they ran out to a 38-17 halftime lead.  The Falcon defense continually made life miserable for the Trojan ballhandlers and denied entry passes to their big post player.  Meanwhile, the Falcons spread the ball around and finished with a balanced scoring chart:  sophomore guard Shay Boley scored 14, freshman forward Mo Peters had 12, freshman guard Shaina Shah tallied 10, and freshman forward Delaney Keddie added 8 points, and three others finished with 7 points each.

The Falcons will play on Tuesday evening at Shasta College (5-2 in 2019) in Redding.
