Despite giving up 11 hits to just four of its own, Citrus College kept it close with Cerritos College, dropping a 5-4 loss on the road.
The Owls slip to 4-9 overall, while the Falcons improve to 9-4 with the win.
Jillian Walker had a solid performance at the plate for the Owls, batting 2-for-2 with one run and two RBIs. Her first hit was a two-run bomb in the top of the second and then doubled in the fifth.
Patty Rodriguez and Mia Godoy also had hits for Citrus.
Cerritos had nine stolen bases in the victory, including the eventual game-winning run.
The Owls continue on the road at Santa Barbara on Wednesday for a 2:30 p.m. game.
