Orozco Throws Gem as Warriors Sweep Past Pasadena in Regional

TORRANCE, Calif. - Aaron Orozco threw a 9 inning complete game as the Warriors took Game Two vs Pasadena City College, 5-1 in the CCCAA Baseball Southern California Regional.  

The Warriors (34-6) took Game One of the regional 6-0 on Friday and completed the sweep in two games.  They outscored Pasadena (25-15) 11-1 for the series.

Aaron Orozco was fantastic on the bump for the Warriors.  He tossed a complete game needing only 105 pitches and faced six batters over the minimum.  He allowed one run on six hits, one walk, and struck out eleven batters.

The Warriors pounded out eleven hits to the Lancers six hits.  Spencer Long, Ty Conrad, Aaron Orozco, and Taishi Nakawake each had two hits a piece for the game.  Jerry Granillo, Joseph Borges, and Matt Beserra each had one hit.

The Warriors jumped to an early in the first inning.  Spencer Long singled in Spencer Palmer to score the first run of the game.  Aaron Orozco singled to center field to bring in Joseph Borges to give the Warriors a 2-0 lead.

The Lancers got one run back after getting two hits in the inning.  Orozco was called for a balk with a runner on 3rd to score the Lancers only run of the weekend. After the first inning, Pasadena was only able to put one runner on base at best for an inning.  

The Warriors added one run in the 3rd, 5th, and 6th inning.  In the third inning, Spencer Long singled up the middle to score Joseph Borges. In the fifth inning, Ty Conrad singled up the middle to score Spencer Long. And finally in the sixth inning, Palmer hit a sacrifice fly to center field to score Taishi Nakawake

The Warriors will remain at home as they await their opponent for the super regionals.  The Warriors next home game will be on Thursday at 2:00 PM vs an opponent to be determined.
