There are only 12 undefeated men's community college basketball teams left in the state of California.

The 5-0 Reedley College Tigers are one of those teams.

The next three contests for head coach T.J. Jennings' Tigers will be at Reedley's Paul Mitchell Court, starting with a 6 pm matchup on Wednesday, Nov. 20 with the Cerro Coso Coyotes. Cerro Coso, now a member of the Inland Empire Athletic Conference after being a conference rival of the Tigers, improved to 2-1 on the new season with an impressive 81-46 win last Saturday over Santa Barbara City College. The Coyotes sped out to a 43-23 halftime lead over the 0-3 Vaqueros.

Reedley hosts West Valley (2-3) at 3 pm Saturday afternoon before a 5 pm matchup on Tuesday, Nov. 26 against Solano College (1-3 through Saturday's action).

Sophomore forward Hassan Bolden was named to the all-tournament team at the West Hills Lemoore Tournament last Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

What was the key to the week's success? "Preparation, perseverance and being poised in the face of adversity," said Coach Jennings.

"We had an incredible team effort on Saturday," said the coach after a 79-67 win over Cosumnes River College. Uriah Carter led the Tigers with 30 points.

Both Carter and Bolden had 21 points in Friday's 78-69 victory over Hartnell.

"We had an incredible all-around effort from Braxton Hicks in Thursday afternoon's 82-73 win over Folsom Lake," said Jennings. "Our defense showed up today."
