Citrus Men's Water Polo hosted Western State Conference rival, Cuesta College on Thursday. The game marked the final regular season home game for the three Owl sophomores.

In a pregame presentation, sophomores Dominik Powell, Jim Tossard and Chantz Gladden were recognized for their dedication, commitment and hard work, both in the pool and in the classroom during their careers as student-athletes at Citrus College.

Head Coach Jen Spalding started all three sophomores, and they played the majority of the match in their home finale.

Jim Tossard set his career high in goals scored with a pair of hard earned scores. Tossard also had a drawn exclusion in the effort. Dominik Powell recorded a goal, 2 assists, 2 steals and a drawn ejection for a complete stat line, and Chantz Gladden frustrated the Cougars on the defensive end, drawing 3 exclusions and snagging a steal.

Freshman attacker Matthew Roebuck led the Owls in scoring, putting 4 goals in the cage. Roebuck also recorded an assist, 3 steals, 2 drawn ejections and a block.

The Owls are in the pool again Wednesday when they travel to Santa Monica to close out 2019 conference play. Game time is at 3:00 PM.
