Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano women's volleyball team took two matches over Diablo Valley and Butte in straight sets on Wednesday evening.
Against Diablo Valley, set scores were 25-5, 25-9, 25-13, and set scores against Butte were 25-21, 26-24, 25-15.
Freshman middle blocker Lindsey McLaughlin tallied nine service aces on the day, adding 11 kills and nine blocks.
Against Butte, sophomore Haley del Rio earned the only double-figure kills match with 12, while del Rio and McLaughlin both had seven against Diablo Valley.
Freshman Kayla Somontan directed the offense in both matches with 45 assists and 14 digs on the day.
The Falcons (4-3) take on San Joaquin Delta and Cabrillo at the Delta Classic next, facing Cabrillo first at 12 p.m.
