Behind suffocating defense and Chynna Cochran's game high 23 points, the MiraCosta women's basketball team cruised to their sixth win of the year by a final score of 73-45.  The Spartans caused 37 turnovers, had 27 steals, and held their opponents to only nine points in the second quarter, which led to a MiraCosta halftime lead of 30-20. 

In the second half the Spartans extended their lead with Cochran scoring 13 of her 23 points in the third quarter. Uneque Fradiue and Britney Jarvis added 10 and eight points respectively. MiraCosta was led in rebounding by sophomore Victoria Wilson who finished with seven, four offensive. Savannah Beasley and Aly Murray both added six rebounds.

With the win MiraCosta improves their record to 6-4 and will next be in action on Friday at LA Southwest College at 5PM.
