On Tuesday, the Cerritos College men's tennis team recorded their first win of the season, as they defeated Fullerton College, 8-1. The Falcons (1-1) will host Irvine Valley College at 2:00 p.m. in a non-conference match on Thursday.

After picking up wins in two of the three doubles matches to start the day, the Falcons swept all six singles results to post the comfortable win. The two doubles wins made it a quick 2-0 team score, while the third doubles match came down to the wire. Sophomores Saar Rogovski (Begin, Israel) and Stevan Quintantar (Cerritos HS) came up short in an 8-6 decision, but answered back with straight set wins in singles.

At the top of the singles ladder, freshman Arthur Bellegy (Lycée Molière, France) recorded a 6-2, 6-2 win, with Rogovski posting a convincing 6-0, 6-3 win in his first action of the season. Freshman Victor Bonsergent (Lycée Technologique Val de Saône, France) was extended to a third set, but prevailed, 6-0, 1-6, 7-5, while Quintantar earned a 6-1, 6-4 win in the #4 position.

The other two singles wins came from freshman Vincent Pascaud (Le Ferradou, France), who posted a 6-1, 6-1 win, while freshman Michael Doria (La Serna HS) held off Louis St. Clair, 6-3, 6-4.
