LA Valley tried to keep No. 13-ranked Citrus College at bay, but the Owls scored two late goals to grab a 2-0 victory Tuesday night.

The Owls improve to 9-1-0 overall and remain undefeated in Western State Conference-South action with their third-straight win. The Monarchs drop to 3-6-2 on the year and 0-3-0 in conference.

In the 83rd minute, Abigail Salvador found Samantha Casas wide open at the top of the 18-yard box where Casas collected the ball and finished it into the back of the net.

Just before time expired, Kaylee Sanchez tucked in another goal to seal the 2-0 victory for Citrus.

The Owls next head to Glendale College on Friday for a 4 p.m. game.
