The Moorpark College football team rallied from a 12-point deficit to comeback and beat LA Valley 21-20 Saturday night in an American-Pacific Conference thriller.
The Raiders trailed 20-8 at halftime before outscoring Valley 13-0 in the second half. Robert Cosby had an interception return for a touchdown with 11 seconds left in the third quarter to pull within 20-15 before a touchdown pass from Trae Johnson to Arcelles Johnson with 2:55 left in the game gave the Raiders the one-point edge, and eventual win.
Johnson had a rough night, throwing four interceptions, but clearly delivered when he needed to - throwing the game-winning TD. He was 19 of 47 passing for 199 yards.
Moorpark moves to 2-0 in conference play (behind 3-0 Antelop Valley) and is 3-4 overall heading into the season's final two games agaisnt Santa Barbara (Nov. 6) and at AVC on Nov. 13.
