IMPERIAL — The Women's Soccer team treated Tuesday's trip to Imperial Valley like it was a business trip. They returned to campus with the first win of the season after a clean sheet 3-0 victory in a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match.

Hailey McIntosh put the first shot of the day in the back of the net off passes from Bridget Cooley and Maliah Wirsig. Wirsig had the first touch of the match and two passes later, the Griffins (1-4, 1-1 PCAC) were off and running.

Later in the first half, Naomi Alacon received a Jessica Noble cross and got it past the Imperial Valley (1-5, 0-2) keeper, which is how it stood at halftime.

Midway through the second half, Ciara May Horn put away a Emma Gorrence pass to make it 3-nil.

The Griffins dominated throughout the match as the win gave head coach Edwin Lee his first collegiate coaching victory.

The Green and Gold continue their road trip on Friday with a trip to San Marcos to take on Palomar (3-1-1, 1-0 PCAC) at 3:00 p.m.
