Cypress Dominates Irvine Valley, 7-0

CYPRESS, CA - Women's Soccer (6-1-1, 2-1-0 OEC) defeats Irvine Valley College (2-7-1, 0-3 OEC) 7-0 at home on Tuesday. Cypress is undefeated on their home turf this season. 

The Chargers showed no mercy throughout the match, outshooting the Lasers 25-2. Sophomore, Presli Dillon scored the first goal to put the Chargers in the lead at the 13th minute, 1-0. The Chargers added back-to-back goals scored in the 32nd minute from Carisia Raygoza and Dillon to keep the Chargers in the lead, 3-0. 

In the second half, Abigail Morales sped past the Lasers' defenders down the left side to score a quick goal. Alyssa Villalobos followed up with a shot that deflected off the keeper to score from the top of the box. At the 52nd minute, Dillon spotted Raygoza on the right wing and kicked a long pass for Raygoza to score. Freshman, Melanie Hernandez and Sophia Chavez looked to close out the game with a short pass set up for Hernandez at the center in front of the goal to go up, 7-0.

UP NEXT: Cypress Soccer travels to Golden West College on Friday, October 7th. Match begins at 3:00PM.
