Milner Scores 23 Points in Loss to LATTC

San Diego City struggled in its final tune-up before the PCAC season begins as the Knights committed 37 turnovers in a 99-70 home loss to Los Angeles Trade Tech on Monday. Aliyah Milner led the Knights with 23 points, nine rebounds, and four assists in the loss.
The Knights were down 39-32 at halftime, but LATTC began the third quarter on a 10-2 run and blew the game open. Trade Tech outscored San Diego City 34-16 in that third period and eventually built a 32-point lead in the fourth quarter.
Trade Tech took advantage of of the Knights' 37 turnovers by turning them into 39 points. The Knights were outscored 25-0 on fast break points.
San Diego City won the rebound battle, 48-34, and outscored LATTC, 26-15, on second chance points.
Karla Mendoza had her second-best output of the season with 18 points to go along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Lajaei West added 10 points, six rebounds, and three blocks.
The Knights, who finished their non-conference schedule at 9-7, will start the PCAC season at home on Friday against Imperial Valley at 5 p.m.
