Compton, Calif. – Freshman Emely Sanchez went 2 for 3 with one double, driving in three RBIs and scoring twice in Thursday's game against Cerritos (4-4) but the Tartars (0-8) fell 21-7.

Freshman Stephanie Zaragoza went 1 for 2 bringing in one RBI. Freshman Mandy Zuniga started on the mound for Compton. She pitched a total of two innings, allowing six hits and eight runs.

The Tartars play again at home on Tuesday February 18 against Long Beach City (2-5) with a 3 p.m. start time.
