(San Diego, CA) After winning the 2021 Mt. SAC Nike/Azteca tournament on Sunday, Mt. SAC (3-2) came up short, 2-0, on the road against San Diego Mesa (1-1) on Friday.

The game was scoreless through 80 minutes when the host team broke the tie in the 81st minute, then added an insurance score during the 90th minute on a penalty kick.

Goalie Leila Peregrina had one save in 90 minutes for the Mounties.

Mt. SAC resumes non-conference play on Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Citrus College (2-1). Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
