Fremont, Calif. - The 17th-seeded Butte men's basketball team defeated 16th-seeded Ohlone, 72-66, on Wednesday evening in the CCCAA Men's Basketball Northern Regional Round 1.
Sophomore Ozzy Meadows was locked in, scoring a team-high 18 points with six rebounds and three assists. Sophomores Marvin Lee and Isaac Wood added 15 and 10 points, respectively, while freshman Marvelous Owens chipped in 10 off the bench with three assists and a pair of steals.
Freshman Anthony Montoya counted six assists and a couple of steals, adding nine points, while sophomore Rolontae Knowles earned eight poitns with four boards.
The Roadrunners advance to the second round, heading to top-seeded San Francisco on Saturday, Feb. 25.
