RIVERSIDE TOURNEY

RIVERSIDE TOURNEY: The Hornets played in the 16-team Riverside College Tournament last week and opened it up by shocking the #7 team in the state San Bernardino Valley College 76-75.

Rufus Jemison won the game on a 17-foot jump shot with seconds left in regulation.

Taking a blow to the head, FC point guard Willie Stallworth had to leave the game on a stretcher in the second half.  The team rallied around him and dedicated the win in Willie's honor.  Suffering from a concussion, Stallworth is feeling better and should be back on the court for the Hornets soon.

Tyler Payne came off of the bench to lead Fullerton in scoring with 19 points.  Julian Caldwell dropped in 16 point, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds.

In the second game, FC lost to a strong San Diego City team 67-54.

Hornet Guard Eddie Sparks came off of the bench to lead the team in scoring with 13 points.  Julian Caldwell scored 11 points with 7 rebounds.

In game three, Riverside knocked out Fullerton 58-51.

Tyler Payne and Julian Caldwell each scored 13 points.  Jason Payne put up 12 with 4 rebounds and 2 assists.  Khalfani Williams contributed with 11 rebounds.

Up Next: The Hornets (4-7 overall) will host Santa Monica College in the Hornets Nest on Tuesday, December 11th. Tip off is at 5:30 pm.
