Sacramento, Calif. - Sophomore Jyne Velono outlasted her opponent to pick up the Falcons' lone singles win in the Solano women's tennis team's 7-2 loss to American River in the second round of the Big 8 Playoffs on Tuesday.

The pair of freshman Yanci Yanez and sophomore Yasmeen Awad defeated Garcia and Beningfield, 8-6, for the team's lone doubles win.

The women's tennis team faces Chabot next on Thursday, Mar. 21 at 2 p.m.
