APTOS - The Cabrillo College football team is ready to take flight against the Los Medanos College Mustangs in Carl Conelly Stadium, at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The game will be streamed live at FaceBook.com/CabrilloSeahawks, and a link will be available on our home page roughly 15 minutes before kick-off.

After an early-season bye week, the Seahawks find themselves ranked fourth in the NorCal American Division according to the week 2 CCCFCA poll.

The Seahawks stifling defensive unit has yet to allow positive rushing yards in a game this season and leads the state with -33.0 yards allowed per game. Cabrillo also has allowed the second-fewest passing yards (96.0 ypg) and the fifth-fewest points per game in the state.

Offensively, the Seahawks average the 10th most passing yards (316 ypg), and 13th most overall yards per game (451 ypg).

Entering Saturday's matchup the Mustangs (1-1) are in a two-way tie for second place in the American Pacific 7 Conference led by sophomore quarterback Nikita Jegers.

Through two games this season the Mustangs (1-1) have struggled to generate more points (10 points per game) than they have allowed (15.5 ppg).

Jegers, a Heritage High School alumni from Brentwood, has completed 40 percent of his pass attempts and averages 69 yards per game through the air with a 1-5 touchdown to interception ratio.

Sophomore running back Jaiden Woodson has been the most successful offensive player for the Mustangs roster, generating the sixth-most rushing yards in the state (206 yds) on the fourth most rushing attempts (36). Woodson averages 111.5 all-purpose yards per game.

Make sure to keep an eye on the match-up between the Seahawks suffocating run defense and Woodson as the game wears on.
