Matthew Korpontinos redirected a perfect pass from Jose Cañada past Skyline keeper Cesar Contreras in the 23rd minute to boost the West Valley men's soccer team to an important 2-0 win over the Trojans Friday in Saratoga. Rodolfo Castro netted the clincher at 89' for the Vikings (12-2-1, 8-1-0 Coast-South) to set up a battle of first-place teams Tuesday (10/30) at City College of San Francisco (12-3-1, 9-0-0 Coast-North). GK Yannick Lamers kept Skyline (7-5-2, 4-3-2 CS) off the board, stopping all five Trojan shots for his fifth clean sheet of 2018. Tuesday's kickoff is 4:00pm.
