Omar Cabanas gave Moorpark a 2-1 lead with a stoppage-time goal at the end of the first half on a hot Tuesday afternoon and the Raiders went on to upset No. 13 SBCC 3-1 in a WSC men's soccer match at Moorpark.

Cabanas, a sophomore midfielder, played for the Vaqueros in 2017 and scored two goals on their 17-1-4 squad that took fifth in the state.

The Raiders (3-7-2, 1-2-0) snapped a three-game losing streak and posted their first win in eight games (1-5-2). The Vaqueros fell to 7-3-2 and 0-2-1.

Jason Bar opened the scoring with a penalty kick in the ninth minute. SBCC's Alexander Foy responded with a PK in the 28th minute after Christopher Robinson was pulled down in the box. Cabanas' stoppage-time goal made it 2-1 Raiders at the half.

Steven Nunez scored an insurance goal for Moorpark in the 80th minute.

"We looked like we would step it up when we made the PK but we never felt comfortable in the 102-plus heat and found it difficult to handle both the heat and the playing surface," said Vaquero coach John Sisterson. "Two defensive errors led to two goals and we could never find our rhythm."

The Vaqueros will host L.A. Mission on Friday at 2 p.m.
