Grossmont College softball takes down Barstow College 10-5 in both games during its double header Saturday, February 8, 2020.

Lexi Schmehr gained the win for both games against the Barstow Vikings. The Griffin bats were on fire, collecting over 25 hits between both games.

Game 1
Grossmont College began the first inning with Sierra Schlichting. She drew a walk, and scored one run.

Then, Grossmont drove in five runs in the fourth. Jazmine Gomez singled on a 1-2 count, and continued to score one run. Medlin doubled on a 0-1 count, and scored three runs.

Jessica Medlin was clutch at the plate for the Griffins Saturday; she drove in four base runners on three hits to lead Grossmont 10-5. Medlin drove in runs on a double in the fourth and a double in the sixth.

Game 2
Charly Shenefield led the first inning off on the rubber for Grossmont College. She allowed six hits and three runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking another.

The Griffins tallied 13 hits during the second game. Medlin, Gomez, and Schmehr each had multiple hits for Grossmont College. Gomez and Medlin each collected three hits to lead Grossmont in the second game.
