Mounties Baseball Drops Final Game of Series to Pasadena

(Pasadena, CA) In the third of a three-game series, Pasadena City College (9-9, 3-3) handed visiting Mt. SAC (11-6, 2-4) an 8-4 defeat in a South Coast Conference matchup on Saturday, Feb. 29. The loss is the Mounties' fifth in the last seven games.

Mt. SAC starting pitcher Diego Barrera (3-2) got the loss, striking out seven in four innings.

Top offensive performances for the Mounties included; Dylan Zavala (1-3, RBI, SB), Cole Jordan (1-2, 2 RBI, R, 2 SB), and Albert Luevano (1-4, RBI, SB).

Mt. SAC will continue its SCC schedule with a three-game series against conference-leading Long Beach City College (15-3, 6-0) beginning in Long Beach on Tuesday, March 3, at 2 p.m. The second game will take place in Walnut on Thursday, March 5, at 2 p.m., and the final game will be on Saturday, March 7, in Long Beach at 12 p.m.
