Fairfield, Calif. - Freshmen Sadie Weber and Rylee Jellison counted goals in the Butte women's soccer win over Solano, 2-1, on Friday afternoon.
Weber scored first in the 20th minute off an assist from sophomore Sophia Maldonado before Solano equalized the match in the 31st minute. Jellison counted the gamewinning goal in the 44th minute with sophomore Alexis Lince counting the assist.
Sophomore Madison Acosta played all 90 minutes in the goal for the Roadrunners, tallying four saves.
The Butte women's soccer team (2-4-1) opens conference play next on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at Redwoods. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m.
