The Compton College football team is back on the winning track, with a 20-10 win over crosstown rival LA Southwest College. 

The Tartars came out with a point to prove as they traveled to LA Southwest College for what would prove to be a physical and exciting game. At the beginning of the game both teams were having issues gaining a rhytym with their offense. It would be the Tartars defense that would score first as Rayshun Dorsey would get a fumble recovery and return it for 35 yards for a Tartars touchdown. That would give them a 6-0 lead. The defense sparked the offense which was led by Quarterback Titan Widjaja and Wide Receiver Malachi Betters, as they connected for two touchdowns.

Although the coaching staff and players were excited about their victory, they plan to use this win to learn from as well so that they will continuously improve throughout the course of the season. 

This win brings the football team to a (1-1) record. The players and coaching staff showed great effort throughout the game and are gaining momentum for their next home game this Saturday (9-17-22) against Santa Monica College (0-1) at 6 pm. Please come out and support our team, the previous home game there were over 350 fans in attendance.
