Owls Run Their Undefeated Streak to 17 Games!

The Foothill College Mens soccer team sits atop the California Community College rankings for the 4th week in a row. Entering the season there were a lot of question marks. After a season cancelled due to Covid-19, and only returning 4 Sophomores, how would the defending Coast Conference Champions do when they are now the hunted?

That question would be answered swiftly, when they started the Fall season winning their first 6 games without conceding a single goal. "Last season we played the underdog role pretty well and rode it to the State Final Four, this year we have been getting everyone's best shot and have found a way to prevail in each and every match. This team has endured so much adversity that I can't even put it into words. The way they have responded to that, says a lot about their character",Says Head Coach Mike Sharabi.

The Owls boast one of the nations top defenses, led by Captain Julio Balino, Javi Lopez, and Anthony Sandoval, along with last years Coast Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and potential All-American Miguel Romano. They have allowed only 6 goals thus far in 15 games.

Their attack is as potent as they come, scoring 46 goals so far. Leading the way up top is the teams "super sub" Djelani Phillips, who has scored 8 goals and added 2 assists and the teams striker Tyler Ohman, who has also provided 8 goals and 8 assists, while standout midfielder Dane Pendleton has netted 5 goals and dished out 6 assists.

The Owls return to action Friday Nov 12th vs Conference Rival DeAnza College 3pm kickoff on the Foothill College campus.
