Irvine Valley remained the last unbeaten team in the state with its 13th sweep of the year and eighth in a row Wednesday night.
IVC, the top-ranked team in the state, defeated No. 18 Fullerton, 25-19, 25-21, 25-18, on the road.
Irvine Valley has won 26 sets in a row. Fullerton was the last squad to take a set over the Lasers on Sept. 20.
The Lasers improved to 16-0 overall and 9-0 in the Orange Empire Conference with the win on Wednesday.
Sophomore outside hitter Lea Kruse finished with 14 kills, 16 digs and three aces.
Sophomore outside hitter Gabriela Griego had 10 kills, sophomore middle blocker Kristin Austin added eight kills, eight digs and hit .538, sophomore outside hitter Alaina Gendale ended with five kills and 16 digs, sophomore middle blocker Alma Entesari had five kills and hit .571, sophomore libero Anna Unke chipped in 12 digs and sophomore setter Truth Hafey contributed 38 asissts and nine digs for the Lasers, who hit .315 on the night as a team.
Irvine Valley halted an eight-match win streak by Fullerton. The Hornets are tied for second in the conference with Orange Coast at 7-2.

In the first set the Hornets were down 5-1 and came back to tie it up at 10. IVC went on a 9-4 run and then finished off the set 25-19.
Fullerton jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the second set and was ahead, 7-5, before Irvine Valley went on run to take a 12-10 advantage.
And Austin later ended a close set with a kill.
The third and final set was tied at 12 before Irvine Valley took over. Kruse and Entesari combined for a block to end things.
On the year, Hafey is tops in the conference and the state in assists per set at 12.45.
Austin leads the conference and the state, in hitting at .478. Kruse averages 3.67 kills per set, which is second-best in the OEC, and leads the conference in aces at 0.71 per set.
She also chips in 3.52 digs per set. Gendale averages 2.74 kills and 2.78 digs, Austin averages 2.77 kills, Griego is averaging 2.71 kills and hitting .312 and Unke averages 3.20 digs per set for the Lasers.
Irvine Valley plays again on Friday, hosting Santa Ana in a conference match at 6 p.m.
