HORNETS TAKE CARE OF KNIGHTS: Fullerton College hosted San Diego City College on Saturday and beat the Knights 10-4.
Fullerton opened the first inning up with 5 runs and held on for the victory as starter Jeff Curran (4-0) earned his 4th win on the season going 7 innings allowing 4 earned runs, and 1 walk on 10 hits while striking out 3 batters. RP Dylan Cole finished the game allowing only 1 hit , no walks, and 2 strikeouts.
Hornet 1B Garrett Donohoe had a great day at the plate going 3-4 with 3 runs and 2 RBIs. Catcher was just a good going 3-4 with 2 runs and a RBI. RF/P Troy Mulcahey was 2-3 scoring 2 runs along with 2 RBIs. 3B Erik Lewis was 2-3 with a run scored. Hits were also had by 2B Nick Gotta (2 runs), DH Jose Rojas, LF Uriel Salinas, and CF Ryan Joyce.
Up Next: Fullerton (7-4 overall) will host El Camino-Compton College on Tuesday, February 26th. The first pitch will be at 2:00 pm.
