Citrus College made it rain in the rain, blasting Pasadena City College 4-0 in the Owls' home opener to remain undefeated (3-0) on the year. The Lancers drop to 1-3-1 on the year with the loss.

The Lancers managed to keep the Owls at bay in the first half, but eight minutes into the second half, Citrus finally broke through. Elisa Salas lofted a high-arching ball into the box, where Abigail Salvador easily headed it home, 1-0.

Four minutes later, Salas got on the other end of a goal after Samantha Casas drove a ball across the face of the goal and Salas tucked it away, 2-0.

The Owls kept the pressure on and Salas found the back of the net once again less than four minutes later. Iledza Rodriguez curved a ball in behind the Lancer defense, allowing Salas to run onto it and tap it in on her first touch, 3-0.

PCC tried to keep Citrus from blowing the game out, but Casas capped the scoring in the 78th minute off a Sandra Balderas assist. After the Owls were awarded a corner kick, Balderas swung a perfect cross to the top of the six-yard box where Casas beat a defender to head it into the goal, 4-0.

Maddy Moris made four saves to keep the Owls' clean sheet, extending Citrus' shutout streak to 270 minutes.

The Owls remain at home, hosting Norco College on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
