Trent MacKinney had three hits and Shoei Umeki pitched six innings of four hit ball to pace the GCC Baseball team to a 6-2 win over West L.A. in the final game of their three game series this week at Stengel Field. The Vaqueros beat the Wildcats 7-3 on Tuesday March 3 and fell to West 9-6 on Thursday March 5. Glendale is now 2-1 in the WSC South and 13-7 overall.

Trailing 2-0 in the fourth inning, Glendale scored three times to take the lead with two runs coming on a double by Aaron Trelaor who had two hits on the day. Aaron Suval also had a double Saturday and Chris Torres picked up the save with allowing just two hits in three innings of work.

Glendale continues conference play with three games against Bakersfield this week, Tuesday March 10 at Bakersfield and Thursday March 12 at home at Stengel Field with both games starting at 2:30 pm and Friday March 13 at Bakersfield at 2:30 pm.
