Bradford scores career-high 30 points in loss to No. 14 Columbia

Sophomore Tayshawun Bradford went off for a career-high 30 points but it wasn't enough as Porterville College suffered a 103-92 Central Valley Conference loss at No. 14 state-ranked Columbia College in Sonora on Wednesday night.

The Pirates fell to 12-11 overall and 5-4 in CVC play. Porterville is currently tied for fourth place in the conference standings with Reedley College.

Porterville trailed Columbia (20-3, 6-3 CVC) 45-38 at halftime but made a closer game out of it in second getting outscored 58-54.

Bradford did all he could to keep PC in the contest. He made 10 of 19 shots for the game, including 4 for 5 from three-point range. Bradford also grabbed 5 rebounds, dished out 4 assists, and had 2 steals.

Sophomore Dominic King also had a big game, contributing 21 points, 7 assists, and 4 rebounds. Freshman Chirrag Sidhu put up double-digits as well, adding 14 points to go along with a team-high 7 rebounds.

The Pirates will look to get back on track on Saturday (Feb. 8) when they return home to host West Hills College Lemoore in a 5 p.m. Central Valley Conference game.
