The Santa Monica College Corsairs defeated Antelope Valley College 3-0. Both teams started the game with high intensity that continued for the first 20 minutes of the match.   SMC got on the scoreboard first in the 39th minute on a through ball to Ceirra Little that she passed to Skylar Vorhees who scored.
 
The Corsairs kicked off the second half with the same fire, but could not find the back of the net until in the 70th minute as Dayli Ramos beat the goal keeper off of a pass from Meredith Gomez to give the Corsairs a 2-0 lead. The Corsairs scored their last goal in the 81st minute of the match.  Little teamed up with Kayla Makkar to insure the win. 
 
With the win the Corsairs improve to 4-1 in Western State Conference play.  Santa Monica now has an overall record of 7-3-2. SMC Goalkeper Taylor Brown claimed her 8th shutout of the season with 2 saves in the game. 
 
SMC will return to conference play when they travel to Bakersfield College for a 4pm kick-off.
