TORRANCE, Calif. – El Camino College recorded its 10th straight victory with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-12) sweep over visiting Cerritos Wednesday night at the ECC South Gym.

Mikayla Clark and Jocelyn Lacroix led the way offensively for the Warriors (14-4, 9-0) as the team trailed only once in the entire match against the Falcons (1-15, 1-8). Clark hammered down a match-high 18 kills and added seven digs while Lacroix pitched in with 13 kills and attacked at a .393 clip (13-2-28) to pace the Warriors on that front.

Caitlin Donatucci continued to set the pace for ECC as she had 36 assists along with six digs and one ace in the victory and sister Kelly Donatucci once again paced the defense with 18 of the Warriors 65 digs on the night.

For the Falcons, Sierra Hernandez-Hardy led the offense with eight kills  as Mirka Granoble dished out 13 assists in the loss.

The Warriors were not on their top game Wednesday night but it did not matter as the Falcons recorded a positive attacking percentage in just one set, the second (.051). They did not record more than six kills as a team in any set as the Warriors led wire-to-wire in the first and second set.

In the third, the Warriors sputtered out of the gates and trailed 5-2 early. The Falcons held a 6-4 lead before the Warriors strung together an 11-0 scoring run to take command of the set. Lacroix and Clark each recorded five kills in the third set as the team attacked at a .243 clip, their best mark of the night.

The Warriors closed out the match on a 7-0 run to record their 10th straight victory and remain undefeated in South Coast Conference action.

The Warriors will hit the road Friday night to take on Mount San Antonio at 6 p.m.
