The final two home games of the 2019-2020 regular season will be very important for the Reedley College Tiger women's basketball team in their quest for the Northern California Regional playoffs.
Reedley hosts fourth-place College of the Sequoias on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 5 p.m. before a Saturday matchup with first-place Merced on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 3 pm.
It will be the final home game for sophomores Sam Mendoza and Vernice Alcoser.
It was close for the first 20 minutes before the Lady Tigers outscored Taft College 47-13 in the second half on Feb. 5 in Taft.
The 73-34 win over the Cougars kept the Tigers in second place in the Central Valley Conference with a 6-2 conference record and an overall record of 11-13.
Three Lady Tigers scored in double figures, led by Aurelie Bravo's game-high 24 points and 12 rebounds. Amanpreet Kaur also had a double-double with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocked shots. Kaur leads the conference in blocked shots. Mendoza added 14 points and seven assists.
