TORRANCE, Calif. – No. 8 seed El Camino College had one of its worst shooting nights of the season and it came at the wrong time in a 71-55 loss to No. 9 Glendale in the CCCAA Southern California Regional Playoffs Friday night at the ECC North Gym.

The Warriors (23-7) shot just 27.8 percent from the field on Friday night and hit just 3-of-18 shots from beyond the arc. The field goal percentage was the team's second worst performance of the year behind only their 26.2 percent effort at Irvine Valley on Dec. 8. The team hit just one 3-pointer in the second half.

Meanwhile, the Vaqueros shot it at a 48 percent clip and had three players tally double figures. Cheyenne Jankulovski led all scorers with 22 points and dished out a game-high eight assists while Sylvia Vartazarian added 20 points and four rebounds in 23 minutes.

For the Warriors, Salihah Bey wrapped up her career at ECC with her 15th double-double in 30 games this season, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Ashley Nguyen added 13 points, five boards and three assists while Jordan Hixon hauled in 10 rebounds as well.

The Warriors finished the 2018-19 season with 23 victories and took home their third straight South Coast Conference, South Division crown and fourth in the last five seasons.
