In the first round of the CCCAA playoffs the #6 seeded MiraCosta women's volleyball team opened with a three set win over Cypress College.  All three sets were close with final scores of 27-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Savannah So'oto and Hayley Torres led the Spartans in kills with 12 and 11 respectively. Sophomore middle Leigha Malecha contributed five kills and four blocks. 

So'oto and libero Paola Peralta led the way with 13 digs each.

In the second round the Spartans will take on conference foe Mesa College on Saturday at 5PM.
