PANTHER WOMEN OPEN 2019 ON THE ROAD
The ladies opened the 2019 season on the road at Crafton Hills -- it was also the first game for coaches Kocsis and Padilla for the Panthers. "It was a typical first game," said Coach Kocsis. "The girls are learning to communicate and work together as a team. As a new, young team we're still trying to determine our individual roles."
Vanessa Murray and Aria Massey had good collegiate debuts with Murray scoring four of the Panthers' 10 goals. At the net, Massey had ten saves.
The team pulled away by three near the end of the game and then Crafton came back to tie and eventually took the game in overtime. "It was a close game and another minute in regulation would have given us a totally different outcome."
Chaffey opens the South Coast Conference season Wednesday at home vs Pasadena.
