The FC men's volleyball team traveled south to San Diego Mesa College on Wednesday and swept the Olympians 3-0.
Fullerton came out hot in the first set riding an early lead to take it 25-20. The second set was much tougher as San Diego Mesa came on strong taking a 4-point lead midway through. The Hornets managed to hold off the Olympic surge winning it 31-29. Set three was all Fullerton as they ran away with the match with a 25-17 win.
David Lucio brought down 11 kills and Leonardo Mazuco racked up 10 with 6 digs. Noah Lourenco handed out 31 assists with 5 kills and 4 digs. Hunter Wong-Hin kept busy with 13 digs.
Up Next: The Hornets (5-5 overall) begin Orange Empire Conference-play on Wednesday, March 11th at home against Irvine Valley College. Game time is at 6:00 pm.
