Softball: Green and Gregory Pace the Offense in Saturday Sweep

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West College's softball team was on fire on Saturday afternoon, as they swept a doubleheader against Cerro Coso College with dominant performances in both games to improve to 3-0.

The final score was an impressive 18-0, with the Rustlers in control and keeping the pressure on the Coyotes in the five-inning mercy-rule shorted victory.

Game two was more of the same, as Golden West continued their dominant play. The defense was solid, and their offense was relentless, scoring eight runs in the second inning enroute to another five-inning mercy-rule shorted victory. The offense was paced by Green who went 2-4 at the plate and Sennie Viramontes who was 2-2 with two RBI's while earning her second win of the season in the circle.
