Sacramento, Calif. The Lady Hawks took on rival ARC in Big 8 play. The Hawks fell 2-3 with a late goal from the beavers amongst some controversy over a PK call.

The Lady Hawks fell behind in the 27th minute, but didn't waste any time leveling the match with a 29th minute equalizer from freshmen forward Helaina Garcia. Obioma Onejeme provided the assist that sparked the Lady Hawks team. They went into half time 1-1 and when the 2nd half began the Lady Hawks started to take over the game. They created a few dangerous chances that put the Beavers on notice. The breakthrough finally came in the 57th minute when Helaina Garcia played a good ball out wide to freshmen forward Morgan Maddox who shot the ball to the far post and over the keepers head to make the game 2-1 Hawks. The Hawk's kept the lead until the 81st minute when a controversial penalty was awarded to ARC and they tied the game up 2-2. In the 85th minute the Lady Hawks conceded another goal to go down 2-3. The last 5 minutes the girls battled hard and created a few good opportunities, but ran out of time.

The Lady Hawks look to bounce back on Thursday October 3rd as they travel Sacramento City College to take on the Panthers at 6pm.
