CCCAA Team State Championship
The No. 2 Long Beach City College women's beach volleyball team competed in the CCCAA Team State Championship on May 9-11 and took runner-up in the Championship match. Their first match took place against No.3 Irvine Valley and the Vikings won 4-1. Advancing to the next round, the Vikings defeated No.1 Sierra with another 4-1 win. The Vikings then moved on to the Championship match against No.1 Grossmont, but fell short of the Championship title and placed second in the tournament as the runner-up.

CCCAA Pairs State Championship
The Long Beach City College women's beach volleyball team also competed in the CCCAA Pairs State Championship on Friday and Saturday. No. 8 sophomores Isabella Alvarez and Doris Woods finished in their pool with a 1-2 record falling short of the next round. LBCC's second pair, No. 10 sophomores Kaitlyn Peterson and Elsa Woods, finished with a record 2-1 placing second in their pool. Peterson and E. Woods then advanced to the next round on Saturday in the top 16 of the tournament. Unfortunately, Peterson and E. Woods fell to No. 11 Mira Costa's Boartight/Hess, knocking them out of the tournament.
