The MSJC women's tennis team competed in the South Coast Conference Tournament on Thursday and Friday and came away with one singles and one doubles team advancing to the State Championships.

Lindsay Lemus won her opening singles match of the tournament, before falling just prior to the quarter-finals.  She was given an opportunity to play back through the draw and qualify for the State tournament and she responded with a straight set victory to clinch her spot in the upcoming event.

In doubles a similar scenerio played out as the duo of Therese Sherwood and Addysen Walls won their opening match, lost their second, but rebounded to win their third match which propelled them to the state tournament.

These three Eagles will now move on to the CCCAA Championships in Ojai April 27th through the 30th hosted by Ventura College.  The draw for the State Tournament should be released in the coming days.
