Falcons Edged in Series Doubleheader Finale at Marin

Kentfield, Calif. - The Falcon baseball team was edged in the series doubleheader finale at Marin, 3-1 and 6-0, on Friday afternoon.

In the first game, the Falcons were able to hold Marin to scoreless innings after the Mariners scored all of their runs in the first inning. Freshman Brandon Herter earned a RBI-double to lead the team's four hits.

Freshman David Reckers (1-1) was charged with the loss after three complete innings of work, allowing two earned runs and fanning a pair.

Freshman Joey Holecek earned the team's lone extra-base hit in the second game with a double. Freshmen Dylan Lamb and Gabe Cornejo counted the team's other two hits.

On the bump, freshman Richard Mealey (3-2) threw three complete innings, allowing four of Marin's runs on five hits.

Solano ends the abbreviated 2021 campaign with a 7-12 record.
